Chad has over 31 years of energy industry experience, focused mainly on Gulf of Mexico field operations and asset management. Prior to Cantium, Chad was Vice President of Production at Cox Operating, and as Senior Vice President of Production at EPL Oil and Gas, with 10 years of various positions of leadership with Chevron USA.
Mr. Williams graduated with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College, Ohio.
Dan Alonso has 14 years of oil and gas experience across multiple basins with a focus on Gulf of Mexico Shelf and Deepwater brownfield development. He was the first Petroleum Engineer hired by Cantium to build the very successful Bay Marchand Asset Team.
Prior to helping stand-up Cantium, he held reservoir engineering roles in Bakersfield, Chad, GoM Deepwater, and GoM Shelf assets with Chevron. Mr. Alonso graduated with a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
Amy M. Brumfield, CPA has 33 years of experience in the energy industry with privately held and publicly traded companies, specializing in Energy Accounting Management & Auditing.
Before joining Cantium in 2017, Amy was the Vice President of Finance & Accounting at ANKOR Energy, LLC a Subsidiary of the Korean National Oil Corporation. Prior to ANKOR, Ms. Brumfield was Vice President of Accounting & Administration at W&T Offshore, Inc. where she spent 12 years in various positions of Leadership. Amy’s experience also includes public accounting and energy consulting.
Ms. Brumfield holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and earned her MBA from the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. Amy holds a Six Sigma Green Belt Designation and is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Amy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Council of Petroleum Accounting Societies.
April brings over thirty years of tax experience in the Energy sector from privately held and publicly traded Corporations. In addition to domestic private equity backed structures, April has experience with multinational ownership and with one of the largest publicly traded utilities. Prior to joining Cantium in 2017, April held tax advisory roles with ANKOR Energy, Entergy, and Dominion Energy.
Ms. Harris is a certified public accountant with a B.S. in Accounting and a Master of Tax from the University of New Orleans.
Brian brings 31 years of IT experience to Cantium, managing technology support for our facilities and administrative offices.
Prior to joining Cantium, Brian worked in the IT sphere at NASA’s Johnson Space Center for 23 years and acted as both lead for real-time support and as a project engineer for ISS networking systems.
Mike has 13 years as a consultant Drilling Engineer, Drilling Supervisor and Drilling Superintendent, in FSU, India, the Mediterranean, Black Sea and across Africa. Mike spent 25 years in oilfield services for Dresser Atlas / Baker Hughes as GOM Wireline Engineer, Operations Manager in the North Sea, Angola, and South Africa, and Country Manager for Remote Operations.
Mr. Grammer graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with a minor study in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University (class of 80).Hobbies included big game hunting, fishing and exercise.
Daniel has 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Before joining Cantium 2 years ago, Daniel was a Geologist for Chevron. While at Chevron, he was an Asset Development Geologist for the now Cantium owned Bay Marchand, Main Pass 299, and Main Pass 144 fields.
Additionally, at Chevron he had roles in Exploration (Deepwater GOM and Atlantic Margin), Deepwater GOM Asset Development, and Wellsite Geology. Daniel earned his Bachelors in Geology from Millsaps College and his MS in Geophysics from the University of Kansas.
Blair manages health, safety, and environmental affairs along with government relations for Cantium. Blair has over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas and process industries serving as a both a process and production engineer and HSE manger.
Prior to joining Cantium, Blair was the HSE Manger for Gulf of Mexico Operations at Freeport-McMoRan Oil and Gas.
Mr. Spencer holds a Batchelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University and is a registered professional engineer.
Richard A. Kirkland has 30 years of experience in oil and gas operations and has been integral to Cantium’s creation and following success. Mr. Kirkland’s hands-on leadership has promoted an efficient, collaborative and transparent culture which has been instrumental in growing Cantium.
Prior to founding Cantium, he held various senior management positions at Baker Hughes, Inc with 15 years of international assignments in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. He began his career as a wireline engineer for Western Atlas Inc. working in East Texas and South Louisiana before moving to Aberdeen, Scotland.
He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Mr. Kirkland graduated with an BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering in 1988 from Dundee University, Scotland.
Prior to Cantium, Randy held senior HR resources roles for Jacobs Engineering, BMC Software, Unocal, Chevron, and Texaco
Mr. Pharris graduated with an MBA and Bachelors from Texas A&M
Tony Richards has over 39 years of primarily reserves, reservoir, and project economic evaluation experience focused primarily on the USA Gulf Coast. Prior to becoming Reserves Manager for Cantium he was Engineering Manager for Century Exploration for 17 years. Before that he worked for Exxon, Greenhill and as a consultant: covering the full range of enterprise scale. Graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering from the Missouri School of Mines and later earned an MBA from Loyola University of New Orleans.
Greg’s nearly 20 years of experience across all aspects of facilities engineering provide the foundation for effective management of the design, construction, and maintenance of Cantium’s facilities and equipment.
Greg worked as a facilities engineer and manager at Chevron for 14 years in domestic and international assignments in both production operations and major projects that spanned from onshore to offshore and deepwater. He received a Chevron Chairman’s Award for “outstanding leadership that allowed for safe return to drilling following the Deepwater Horizon incident in the Gulf of Mexico.”
Greg received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University and his MBA from Rice University where he was a designated Jones Scholar as a top ranked graduate of the program.
Stephen has 43 years’ experience in the Petroleum industry. His career has been Drilling & Completions, Remedial & Well Intervention, Marine Asset Management Operations focused.
Prior to Cantium, Stephen held Senior Management Positions with Fugro Drilling & Well Services, Aker Well Intervention Services and Baker Oil Tools.
Adrian has over 24 years of extensive global Exploration, Development and Production experience.
Prior to becoming the Chief Exploration and Development Manager at Cantium in 2019 Adrian held several leadership and technical roles at BHP, Woodside and ExxonMobil working projects in Australia, Canada, Brunei, Malaysia, Caribbean, Guyana and the West African Margin with the majority of time spent working Exploration and Development projects in the Gulf of Mexico.
Adrian holds a Bachelor of Science (Geophysics) from the University of Melbourne as well as a Master’s degree from the National Centre for Petroleum Geology and Geophysics at the University of Adelaide.
Kenneth H. Beer has 35 years of experience in the energy sector.
Before joining Cantium, Ken was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Stone Energy for 13 years where he was the primary contact for equity and fixed debt investors and the Stone bank group. As CFO, he executed numerous capital markets equity and debt offerings and negotiated several bank credit facilities.
Before Stone Energy, Mr. Beer was a Partner, Director of Research and Senior Energy Analyst with Johnson Rice for 13 years, following 20-25 E&P companies and was named All-Star Analyst by the WSJ numerous times.
Additionally, before joining Johnson Rice, he was an Analyst and Investment Banker with Howard Weil, an Analyst with Wood Mackenzie and an Analyst with The Boston Consulting Group.
Mr. Beer earned his Bachelors in Economics from Dartmouth College and his MBA from Stanford University
